We didn't set out to find a dog that looked like Watch. But dawg, if Jerry doesn't resemble him.
Jerry is one of two Weimaraner/Chesapeake puppies who was rescued from a neglectful setting by two sisters. The name "Jerry" was chosen by Wyatt and Mike, the latter of whom idolized Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. (Sharp-eyed Deadheads will note the collar.)
Day by day, inch by inch, Jerry's growing more comfortable and is beginning to fill out. And still calls answering our "Puppy Wanted" ad are coming in. I wish I could take them all!

Hey Jerry, what a nice surprise to get after finally figuring out how to turn Comments on! Just like losing a digit didn't stop Jerry Garcia from being a superstar, losing a leg hasn't stopped you. I'll enjoy reading your blog! Thanks for writing, Susan
